Months 4, 5, & 6

Could it get more fun?!? Let's look back on months 4, 5, & 6!

Month 4 - Chunky Monkey

16 lbs 4 ounces. 26 ¼ inches long. Big Boy! I’m really getting to be a lot of fun – even though it doesn’t show in the pictures. This month I went to the North American Cattle show for the first time! It was my first big trip with my Mom and Dad! We met a lot of friends at the show and had a really good time, but I decided to be a little difficult on the way home. Since Mom was by herself, I cried a lot…Mom kept me by herself for three days while Dad was at the show. It was stressful, but we made it. I went to another wedding reception, had my first Halloween, got exposed to the chicken pox at daycare (none for me though!), and had another round of shots. This month has been really busy since Mommy is back to full time work. A typical day is – up at 4:15 for pacifier, wake at 5:30 to eat, dressed and headed to daycare by 6:45, take a morning nap, feed 9-10, nap from 12-2, feed 2, pick up from daycare at 4:30, feed 6, nap, bath 9, feed 9:30, bed. I like to grab things and spend some time in my jump-a-roo!
 Month 5 - Rolly Poly

On Wednesday, November 21 I rolled over and haven’t stopped since. I like to roll from my back to my belly – even when I’m sleeping…once I’m on my belly, I like to scoot myself to things and grab them. I had cereal on 11/25/12 – this has been a big month. We went to my very first Hoosier Beef Congress the first weekend in December. Mommy and Daddy took 2 days off and we had our first “cowcation” together.
We had family pictures taken together and you were so good. I just can’t get over how much we love you. Today (2 days after your 5 month birthday) you got up on your hands and knees, wobbled, and landed on your belly. You are growing so very fast. You also have RSV, which means you like to snuggle with your mommy, cry a lot, have a lot of snot, a big deep cough, and breathing treatments (you are not a fan!). You’ve really become a daddy’s boy this month and light up when he enters the room.

His bib is clearly celebrating his first Christmas, not his taste in women. Thank Goodness for that!

Month 6 -Oh, we're halfway there!

How can 6 months have gone so fast?!? Stats this month…Height 27” Weight 18 lbs 15 oz and in the 75th percentile for height, weight, and head size. Skills: I roll, scoot, and army crawl to get where I want to go. I like to sit up with a little support and am a master of rocking on my hands and knees. On 1/2/13 (mama’s birthday) I had carrots for the very first time. I loved them! Mama has made my baby food and so far I have tried carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, squash, and avocado. The peas gave a horrible rash and we weren’t a big fan of the green beans. Video to prove it! Next up – Bananas, pears, and more fruits! I have continued to be sick on and off all month. This cough has been going on since Dec. 1 and we can’t seem to kick it. Lungs are clear, but still coughing. Had my first Christmas, New Year’s Eve sleepover with my pals including a GIRL!, stomach virus that I gave to my Mom who gave it to the rest of the family, Blizzard of 2012 (11 inches) Travel, Bad Dog, and finally… Insomnia. I refuse to sleep all night long. We are trying to let Graham learn to soothe himself, but it isn’t working so far. However, he sleeps like an angel when he’s right next to someone in bed.

When he gives me that face, I forget the missed hours of sleep!
